A past chairman of Business Link North Manchester and a past president of Oldham Chamber of Commerce, Roger is a passionate advocate for business in the North West of England and has long provided his time and expertise to promote the region. He on the board of a number of companies as well as being associated with numerous non-profit making organisation in the North West having a special interest in the field of education, particularly improving the training opportunities for disadvantaged groups. He is a dedicated gardener with more than a passing interest in chamber music and opera.

Steve is an associate in the corporate and commercial department, having qualified in 2003 with a background in national firms.
Steve advises on company and business acquisitions and disposals, management buy-outs, joint ventures, shareholder matters and commercial contracts (including franchise and agency agreements and the preparation of terms and conditions). He acts for a wide range of clients including institutional investors, shareholders and directors, across sectors including pharmaceutical companies, insurance brokers, retailers and manufacturers.
Steve is also developing Pearson Hinchliffe Commercial Law’s photography and media sector group. He keeps a blog on the subject which can be found at www.photographyandthelaw.co.uk.

With a BA Hons (Dunelm) in archaeology and experience as Assistant Company Secretariat at a plc and Head of Legal and Operations at an e-media company, Steve has broad commercial acumen and a client-focused perspective.
In his spare time, Steve enjoys spending time with his family, photography, bushcraft, hiking, chess and watching and coaching rugby.

Laura is a solicitor in the corporate & commercial department and joined the firm in 2007 as a trainee solicitor, qualifying in 2009.
Laura works with varying sizes and forms of business including partnerships and limited companies. Areas of specialism include incorporation of companies, drafting/reviewing of terms and conditions, commercial contracts, company constitutions, partnership agreements and shareholder agreements. Laura also advises on change of status for sports clubs who wish to become incorporated and mergers & acquisitions.
Laura is an active committee member of the Oldham Law Association and currently holds the position of Training Officer. As well as serving the needs of its legal members, the association also holds events to raise money for charity including the annual quiz in aid of Shelter. She is also a member of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce.
Laura gained a 2.1 Law Degree (with Honours) from Lancaster University, and after working in the legal environment as a Law Cost Draftsman she completed the Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School in Manchester in 2007, gaining a Distinction.
In her spare time, Laura enjoys recreational activities including swimming and circuit training.
