Title: Pensions Advisor, Financial Services Team
Simon Taylor is the Pearson Hinchliffe Commercial Law’s in-house Pensions specialist. He has significant experience in helping companies and individuals deal with the increasing challenges facing industry.
With 11 years experience as an Independent Financial Adviser, Simon provides advice to commercial clients, business people, company directors and entrepreneurs to either set up and manage pensions schemes or review and maximise tax-efficient pension schemes already in existence.
He also reviews personal pension arrangements to meet private individuals’ retirement needs.
Our corporate pensions advice involves working directly with company directors, HR personnel and people involved in the operation of company pension schemes, providing a dedicated corporate service aimed at helping companies to manage the liability from their existing occupational pension schemes and identify new opportunities.
With growing uncertainty in financial markets, it has never been more important for companies to review their pensions regularly. A review should be done several times a year, but this can be hard to achieve practically. Simon Taylor aims to help each client to determine: whether their fund is favourable, can risk be minimised, do current contributions need to be reviewed, and is there a more competitive, cheaper alternative or a more modern dynamic scheme?
As longevity increases and state provision reduces in real terms, the issue of whether people will have enough income in retirement is one which will inevitably continue to grow in importance. Retirement is supposed to be the time to relax and enjoy the benefits. But often an expert is needed to identify the best pension scheme, and to ensure the required income upon retirement.
As part of his pensions service Simon provides ongoing support and advice to individuals on their pension and retirement plans.
As part of our commitment to client care, we will meet clients one-to-one to provide a personalised service, as we believe this is the best way to truly understand and address your needs and plans for the future.
